
Our Hells Canyon rafting trips are designed so that you need just show up with your clothes and go on the river trip you have always dreamed about! So pack your clothes, maybe your toothbrush, and read on to see what you will enjoy while out on the river with North Star.
A hand wash system is available before all meals and in camp. All rafting and camping equipment is provided.
Meet for this trip in McCall, Idaho. A shuttle takes you to the put-in on the Snake River at Hells Canyon Dam. We float north 32 miles to the take-out at Pittsburg Landing. Shuttle returns you to McCall after the trip. You will need to be in McCall the night before the trip’s launch date.
This trip also starts in McCall, Idaho, but ends farther north outside of Lewiston, Idaho. Shuttle takes you to the put-in on the Snake River at Hells Canyon Dam. We float north 82 miles, the entirely of Hells Canyon, to the Take-out at Hellar Bar, 45 minutes south of Lewiston, ID. Shuttle takes you to your destination in Lewiston (air port or hotel). Most of our guests catch a connecting flight from the airport in Lewiston to their next destination, or have their car shuttled to meet them at the end of the river trip. Personal car shuttles may require an extra fee. You will need to be in McCall the night before the trip’s launch date. Our launch dates remain the same each year as designated by our permit with the USDA Forest Service. We can sometimes pick up extra dates, so call if you don’t see a date that will work. We will run early spring trips in April and May. Those launches are flexible, call for more details. Our Salmon River launch dates fall in between the Snake River dates, and have some flexibility. The Salmon River can be a perfect alternative to the Hells Canyon trip if you have a challenging schedule. Group discounts are available on nearly every trip. Please ask about charter trips.
Reservations
We are happy to tentatively hold your reservation for 7 days. Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit on a first come, first served basis. We accept deposits by personal check, money order or by phone using your VISA or MasterCard. You will be required to sign an Assumption of Risk Form to join a river trip.
Deposits
A $350/person deposit is required to hold your reservation and is non-refundable, unless your reservation can be replaced by another paying guest.
Final Payment
The balance is due 60 days prior to the launch date of your trip. If final payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to regard the reservation canceled. In this case your deposit will not be refunded unless we can replace your reservation.
Cancellations
Should you have to cancel your trip plans, deposits and final payments are non-refundable, unless we can replace your reservations. Alternate guests are welcome. Please understand we cannot insure your investment in river trip reservations. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip interruption insurance. Try Travel Guard
