Our Salmon River rafting trips are designed so that you need just show up with your clothes and go on the river trip you have always dreamed about! So pack your clothes, maybe your toothbrush, and read on to see what you will enjoy while out on the river with North Star.

Included in Your Salmon River Trip

  • One night lodging in McCall, Idaho prior to the river trip
  • Shuttle from McCall to the Salmon River
  • End of river trip shuttle to your destination in Lewiston, Idaho
  • Meals starting with lunch Day 1, ending with lunch the final day of your trip
  • Limited amount of soda, juice, beer, mixers, dinner wine, and ice
  • Plenty of fresh drinking water is available at all times
  • Waterproof bags for personal duffel
  • Freshly laundered sleeping bags, inflatable sleeping pads, tents
  • Coast Guard approved life jackets
  • First aid supplies and safety gear for paddle teams and kayaks
  • 3% State of Idaho Bureau of Land Management Use Fees
  • Youth ages 18 and under qualify for the youth price

A hand wash system is available before all meals and in camp. All rafting and camping equipment is provided. Meet for this trip in McCall, Idaho. We put on the river at Hammer Creek Rec Site or Pine Bar Rec Site and float NW to the confluence of the Snake River in Hells Canyon. Then north t the Take-out at Hellar Bar, 45 minutes south of Lewiston, ID. Most of our guests catch a connecting flight from the airport in Lewiston to their next destination, or have their car shuttled to meet them at the end of the river trip. Personal car shuttles may require an extra fee. You will need to be in McCall the night before the trip’s launch date. Salmon River Launch Dates and Pricing

Our launch dates remain the same from year to year, but we have flexibility to add dates or change dates for trips we run on the Salmon River. This river is the perfect alternative to the Hells Canyon trip if you have a challenging schedule. Please let us know what dates will work best for you and we can design the perfect trip for your group! Youth age 18 and under qualify for the youth rate. Dates and prices subject to change without notice. Group discounts are available on most trips. Please ask about charter trips.

Reservation, Deposit, Cancellation Policies

Reservations
We are happy to tentatively hold your reservation for 7 days. Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit on a first come, first served basis. We accept deposits by personal check, money order or by phone using your VISA or MasterCard. You will be required to sign an Assumption of Risk Form to join a river trip.
Deposits
A $350/person deposit is required to hold your reservation and is non-refundable, unless your reservation can be replaced by another paying guest.
Final Payment
The balance is due 60 days prior to the launch date of your trip. If final payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to regard the reservation canceled. In this case your deposit will not be refunded unless we can replace your reservation.
Cancellations
Should you have to cancel your trip plans, deposits and final payments are non-refundable, unless we can replace your reservations. Alternate guests are welcome. Please understand we cannot insure your investment in river trip reservations. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip interruption insurance. Try Travel Guard.
